Locally Owned, Augusta Rooted
Uptown Marketplace is a locally owned multi-vendor marketplace at 3830 Washington Road, Suite 15 in Augusta, Georgia, serving the Augusta community since 2020. We're a store built by Augusta people for Augusta people, and every decision we make comes from genuine care about this community. Come in and see what neighbors have brought to our floor.
How Uptown Marketplace Came to Washington Road
We opened Uptown Marketplace in 2020 to give Augusta-area antique dealers, vintage collectors, artisan makers, and resellers a single, well-managed multi-vendor floor where they could reach shoppers without the overhead of a standalone storefront. Augusta had no shortage of individual dealers. What it lacked was a curated, well-staffed space that brought them together under one roof and gave shoppers a reason to stay a while.
Being locally owned means the decisions here are made by people who live in Augusta and care about the outcome. Not a franchise. Not a corporate rollout. A store that answers to this community specifically. Our vendor mix, our layout, our hours, our focus on customer experience: all of it is decided by Augustans who shop these same streets and want this neighborhood to thrive.
Chain thrift stores offer volume. Online marketplaces offer convenience. Neither offers the discovery experience of walking a curated floor with knowledgeable staff who know the inventory and the vendors behind it. We built Uptown Marketplace to be that third option for Augusta shoppers, and we're glad so many of you have made it a regular stop.
The Vendors Behind Every Item on Our Floor
Our store floor is made up of independent local vendors, each running their own booth with their own specialties and price points. You'll find antique dealers with decades of sourcing experience, vintage clothing curators who know exactly what a particular era looked like, artisan soap makers using locally sourced ingredients, jewelry specialists with both estate pieces and handcrafted originals, collectibles traders who've spent years building their inventories, wall art creators showing original work, and producers of locally sourced goods you won't find anywhere else in Augusta.
These are neighbors, small-business owners, and makers from across Augusta and the CSRA who chose Uptown Marketplace as the place to share what they've built or collected. When you buy from our floor, that money goes back to the local person who sourced and priced that piece. It goes to their household, their next buying trip, their next batch of handcrafted goods.
Every purchase at Uptown Marketplace supports an Augusta-area vendor directly. That's the real difference from buying the same category of item from a national chain or an anonymous online listing. The item has a person behind it, and that person is your neighbor.
